DMCA and Copyright Notices

By Steven Last updated

Send copyright notices and counter-notices by email to contact@candy-shorts-episodes.run, including the elements listed below.

Candy Shorts Episodes respects copyright. If you believe that text, an image or a video on candy-shorts-episodes.run infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, you can send us a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This page is effective as of October 29, 2026.

Where to send a notice

Email your notice to contact@candy-shorts-episodes.run. A subject line such as "DMCA notice" helps it stand out from other mail.

Elements of a valid notice

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a notice should include:

  • a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or of a person authorized to act for the owner;
  • identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed or, if one notice covers several works, a representative list of them;
  • identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it, such as the full URL of each page;
  • your contact details, meaning your name, postal address, telephone number and, if available, an email address;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and a statement under penalty of perjury confirming you are authorized to act for the copyright owner.

A notice that leaves out some of these elements may not be treated as valid under the statute, so please check it before sending.

Counter-notices

If material was removed or disabled because of a notice and you believe this happened through mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), it should include:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • identification of the material that was removed or disabled, and the location where it appeared beforehand;
  • a statement under penalty of perjury declaring a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  • your name, address and telephone number, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district of your address (or, if you live outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or that person's agent.

False or misleading claims

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. If you are unsure whether a use infringes your rights, consider getting legal advice first.
